Nervous
Ever
you feel nervous? Most people was feel
it. Nervous is a common problem in arts performing, music included. But, any
interest thing in music, especially intrumental. I think nervous on
instrumental player is biggest. Why it happened? Because player’s emotional
hasn’t overflow, but only burried on himself. That different likes a singer,
all the emotional that she had express from breath. It influences heartbeat
perfomance that will be constant, when i sing milder than play guitar. This
article discussed about how to fix a nervous through experience based. According
the experience, started from observe, asked to abroad guitarist, and aplication.
Exist a few advice that i tell, include:
• Breathing
Before we play, try to set up breath, make sure
a breath has constant, this aimed to feel relax. Take deep a breath, then take
out slowly. Make sure you are ready to play and don't forget to pray.
• Singing
Singing is not sing with vocal, but sing in our
mind and soul before you start the game. It possibles to forget your nervous
and convert those mind to be tones. This activity help also to decrease mistake
on begin, it likes change move a water temporarily to the other bucket.
• Chocolate
The substance on chocolate influenced body,
those substance triggered endorphin hormone (natural substance on body). The
function of endorphine are decrease a ache, stress, happiness trigger and
relax. Relax mind needed for instrumental player when he will start the show,
relax could helps to play optimal. Dark chocolate is suggested, because it has
a better substance than common chocolate. Effect emerged by chocolate is
temporary, make sure a few hours to get a chocolate before the show.
• Sport
I observe behaviour of many guitarist abroad in
a few opportunity. The interest things i guess their do sport like stretching
and jogging a bit. Pretty surprised seen that thing, but it influenced of his
shows. They are relax and finished the song perfectly. This way effected give a
more power and focus.
• Practicing
Several factor that i said, clearly support us.
But the elementary thing is how to prepare ourself, one of them is practice. A
clear practice highly intensity will help us in every things, mental for the
example. Mind helps us when we clear practicing, we aren’t to think how many
mistake. Our mind will focus how to give the best in stage. Clear practice and
routine are most important to fix a
nervous.
• Intensity
In addition to observe, i interviewed also an
abroad guitarist, is he still nervous? Yes, he said. But now, the nervous
smaller than first time. High flight hours made him to able and habitual in
every situation. Therefore if any opportunity to perform, take it ! You can
choose the best way to applying how to fix a nervous. Start from yourself, fix
the practice program, find and make your own stage.
