Kebo Ketan as Sekar Putih's Unity Media 

Did you still remember Mbah Kodok, who married with elf? Yassh... it happened in East Java, specifically at Desa Sekar Putih, Ngawi. How lucky me and many friends can joined this event, it was amazing.. hohoho. In this article i wouldn’t explain about Mbah Kodok and the Elf.

     But, in this article i would explain about Kebo Ketan (ketan means sticky rice) it's any related about Happening Art.  I guess, suddenly you feel hungry after you heard Ketan... hehhe.. Anyway, Happening Art its like an arts that took issues around social and culture phenomena in a region, hopefully it would be positive impact for locals. Actually the main issue is about Sendang Margo, in a past it was one of water conservative centre in this area. But time goes fast, the river wasn’t well taken care of. Started from that, the locals has conscioused and afterwards Kebo Ketan event is made. The reason why Kebo Ketan has made is for give back function and form Sendang Margo like first.

This event initiatived by Bramantyo Prijosusilo, as an artist and culturist. This event  presented at 17th-18th December 2016, aims to be a platform for strengthen brotherhood of the locals, stretngthen local genius, and preserve ground and water quality. Actually this is an annual event while celebrated Prophet Muhammad.

Bramantyo Prijosusilo presented himself in the people give new breath for the ecosystem in there. With involved locals from another segments, he was give spirit and consiousness for locals to preserve the nature and environment.

The event started from Sendang Margo to Sekar Putih’s court. Before started the procession, Kebo Ketan had made in Sendang Margo area at 17th December. The Kebo Ketan made by Djoko Pekik and Heri Dono (their is a famous artists). Then, at 18th December from morning until afternoon the procession has begin to Sekar Putih’s area. At the way, many checkpoint that purpose give welcoming the Kebo Ketan. At the checkpoint many kinds of arts, like Reog, Barong, Tayub, Jaranan, dsb. After welcomed by the people, it goes to court.

After being greeted by several arts in each post, each of the arts followed the procession to the field. This event continued until the evening and closed by Wayang Kulit which will be led by Ki Mantep. But we didn’t follow it until the end of the event for one reason or another. Just info, during the event occured the weather very hot and my condition are unhealty, therefore we decided goes back to Jogja. So if someday you would be joining in this event, prepare your healthness better.
